Our Detailing Process in Summerville, Step by Step
From your first message to the final walk around, every job follows the same six steps. No surprises, and you pay only after you’ve seen the car.

Every job runs the same way. You ask for a quote, we set a day, we arrive with our own water and power, we do the work, we walk the car with you, and then you pay. Most visits take one to six hours depending on the service, and you don’t need to be home.
How Does a Mobile Detail Work From Start to Finish?
It takes six steps, and you’re only needed for the first and the last. You tell us about the car and choose a day. We handle the setup, the cleaning and the cleanup. At the end you look the car over with us, and payment comes after that.
You ask for a quote
Send the vehicle, your ZIP code and a photo of the worst spot. We reply with one clear price.
We set a day
You choose a date and a time window. In pollen season, late March through April, book a little ahead.
We arrive and set up
The van parks at your curb or driveway. Water, power, hoses and runoff mats all come off the van, and we take a few photos of the car before we start.
We do the work
Wheels first, then a foam soak and a two bucket wash. Interiors get vacuumed, shampooed and steamed.
We walk the car with you
You look it over in daylight. If we missed something, we fix it right there.
You pay, we pack up
Payment happens after the walk around. We leave your driveway the way we found it.
What Happens Before We Arrive?
You send a few details and photos, and we send back one price and open days. Photos matter because two cars of the same model can need very different work. A bumper covered in lovebugs or a back seat full of dog hair changes the time, and time is what sets the price.
- Year, make and model
- Your ZIP code or neighborhood
- The service you want, or what’s bothering you
- A photo of the worst spot
- Where the car will be parked

What Happens While We Work?
We set up at the curb or the end of the driveway and work through the vehicle in a fixed order. On a full detail the interior comes first, then the outside from the top down, so nothing dirty gets tracked back into clean areas. You can stay inside, go to work or run errands.

The Interior
- Mats out, trash and loose items bagged
- Full vacuum, including under the seats
- Carpet and seat shampoo with hot water extraction
- Steam on the console, vents and cup holders
- Dash and doors wiped and UV protected
- Inside glass last
The Exterior
- Wheels, tires and wheel wells first
- Foam soak to loosen pollen and bugs
- Two bucket hand wash, roof down
- Clay bar where the paint feels rough
- Sealant, then a hand dry
- Tires dressed and outside glass cleaned
What Do We Check Before We Call It Done?
We go around the vehicle one more time with a clean towel and a light before you see it. Door jambs, mirrors, cup holders, seat rails, glass edges and wheel faces are the spots most often missed, so those get checked by hand. Then we walk the car with you.
- Door jambs and sills
- Mirrors and glass edges
- Cup holders and seat rails
- Wheel faces and lug holes
- Headlights, tail lights and badges
- No drips from mirrors or trim
Take your time on the walk around. Our terms ask that any new damage be reported within one hour after we leave, so the best moment to check is while we’re still there.

How Do We Adjust for Summerville Weather?
The steps stay the same all year, but the timing and the order shift with the season. In pollen season we rinse first and finish with a final wipe. In summer we start early and work in shade. And under pines or crepe myrtles we move the car before we wash it, so nothing drips onto wet paint.
Late March Through April
Pine pollen lands again within hours. We rinse the car first so no dry pollen gets dragged across the paint, and we wipe the glass and door jambs last, right before the walk around.
May and September
Lovebug flights last about four weeks each. Bumpers, mirrors and windshields get a longer soak, so the remains lift off without scrubbing.
June Through September
Hot panels dry soap into spots, and storms build in the afternoon. We book outside work for the morning, wash one section at a time and use your garage or any shade there is.
Any Month, Under Trees
Pines drip sap and crepe myrtles drip aphid honeydew. We pull the car into the open before washing, and we tell you if the paint already has etched spots.
How Long Does Each Service Take?
These are typical times. Your quote includes an estimate for your own vehicle.
| Service | Typical time on site |
|---|---|
| Hand car wash | About 1 hour |
| Interior detailing | 2 to 4 hours |
| Full car detail | 4 to 6 hours |
| Paint correction and ceramic coating | 1 to 2 days |
| Golf cart | 1 to 2 hours |
What Can Change the Plan?
What If It Rains on the Day?
Interior work goes ahead in light rain, and a garage lets us finish the outside too. If a real storm rolls in, we move you to the next open day at no extra cost.
What If the Car Is Worse Than the Photos?
Sometimes a spill is hiding under a seat, or there’s far more pet hair than a photo showed. We stop and tell you before doing extra work, and you decide what happens next.
What If My HOA Has Rules?
Send them with your quote request. Our low water wash and runoff mats fit most neighborhood rules, and we plan the visit around any limits on hours or parking.
What If the Job Runs Long?
We’d rather finish properly than rush. If we see it will take longer than the estimate, we tell you as soon as we know, so you can plan around it.
